Halloween is arriving early in Wareham this year! On Friday, October 25th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Wareham Village Association will host its annual Trick or Treat on Main Street event, a beloved tradition that has been going strong for over 15 years. This year promises to be no different, as over 99% of the businesses on Main Street will be opening their doors to trick or treaters for a fun and festive Halloween experience.
Participating businesses will display orange or black balloons in their storefronts, signaling that they are ready to welcome kids in costumes for treats. Many of the businesses will also be decorated for Halloween, adding to the festive atmosphere. Families can enjoy a safe, fun environment for trick or treating, with plenty of costumes, candy, and community spirit.
This event has become a favorite among Wareham families, who are increasingly opting for Trick or Treat on Main Street instead of traditional door-to-door trick or treating. According to Tracy McGraw, the president of the Wareham Village Association, it’s easy to see why. “There’s a constant flow of kids in costumes, and it’s very fun and safe,” McGraw said.
To make the most of the experience, McGraw suggests starting at Pezzoli Square and making a loop around Main Street. With the entire street decked out for Halloween, this event is sure to get you into the holiday spirit!
