Wareham Redevelopment Authority Internship

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY – PAID POSITION

The Wareham Redevelopment Authority (WRA) is seeking a part-time intern to support initiatives outlined in the Economic Development Strategy and Wareham Village Redevelopment Plan. This role offers hands-on experience in municipal planning, economic development, marketing, outreach, and project management. The intern will work under the Town’s Director of Planning and Economic Development while reporting directly to the Redevelopment Authority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Marketing & Event Programming: Assist with social media, content creation, promotional campaigns, and community event coordination.
• Community Engagement: Interact with local property owners, business owners, and business associations to support engagement efforts.
• Project Management & Research: Track redevelopment initiatives, conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports to inform decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Skills: Strong organization, self-direction, and excellent written/verbal communication.
• Background: Coursework or experience in public administration, business, finance, urban planning, environmental studies, policy analysis, economic development, marketing, or hospitality.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media platforms is a plus.
