A fresh and exciting culinary addition has arrived in Wareham, blending comfort with a touch of fine dining. Loafy Lark, the new breakfast hotspot at 3103 Cranberry Highway (formerly Golden Bamboo), is already shaking up the local food scene and attracting attention in a big way.

At the helm of Loafy Lark is Faye Prapawicha, a former sous-chef at Boston’s award-winning Chickadee. Known for her skillful approach to blending flavors, her cooking has long been celebrated by her peers.

“It’s always exciting when chef Faye Prapawicha, a native of Thailand, makes family meal,” said John DaSilva, owner and chef of Chickadee in Boston.

Prapawicha, along with her husband Tyson Wardwell and their business partners, saw Wareham as the perfect place to bring their unique vision to life.

A Fresh Concept for Wareham

Loafy Lark isn’t just another breakfast spot. Prapawicha describes the restaurant’s offerings as “comfy breakfast, but make it a little bit more fancy.” The menu reflects a fusion of cultures, incorporating her Thai heritage and Wardwell’s New England roots to create unique, upscale breakfast dishes that stand apart from anything else in town.

“People always think about going to get a nice dinner, but why don’t you give yourself a good day and start with a good breakfast?” Prapawicha said to Ethan Hunt of the Wareham Week.

With a mix of hearty and health-conscious options, Loafy Lark aims to appeal to both locals and visitors, creating a must-visit destination for those exploring Wareham and the South Coast.

A Win for Wareham's Food Scene and Economy

The restaurant’s arrival signals an exciting shift for Wareham’s business and tourism landscape. Quickly filling the space left vacant by Golden Bamboo, Loafy Lark is a prime example of how quality establishments can elevate the town’s appeal, attract investors, and inspire more entrepreneurs to see Wareham as a promising location.

As Wareham continues to develop as a destination, unique, high-quality restaurants like Loafy Lark play a pivotal role in shaping the town’s identity. For local food lovers, this means more variety, more flavors, and a new go-to spot for breakfast indulgence.

For investors, it’s a sign that Wareham is on the rise—an emerging market where ambitious restaurateurs and business owners see potential. The arrival of a chef-driven, upscale breakfast spot like Loafy Lark demonstrates that the town is ready to support exciting, experience-driven dining concepts, making it an attractive place for further investment in hospitality, retail, and tourism. In her closing remarks to the Wareham Week, Prapawicha states that she wants her restaurant to serve Wareham residents and be a spot that people who visit Wareham are talking about.
