Council on Aging: Uke Can Do It!

May 6 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Free

Have you always wanted to learn an instrument but never got around to it? Now’s your chance! Join accomplished instructor Denis Barrette for an informational
session on learning to play the ukulele! Denis will be on-hand to seek input on what kind of programming would be of interest and to answer any questions you may have.

Ukuleles have four soft nylon strings which are gentle on the fingers, and the small size of this light-weight instrument reduces strain for those with arthritis or have limited mobility. It’s an easy instrument to learn, and you’ll be playing songs before you know it!

The COA has a small number of ukuleles that can be used during class (but cannot be taken home). These are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Join us in Room 428 on May 6th at 10:00. Sign up by calling the COA at 508-291-3130 to reserve your spot.
